Workshops in Japan

Culture Menu was a partner of two workshops held in Japan and initiated by organisation EU-Japan Fest.

On 3td of November, 2009, workshop with the community of Toyomi town (Niigata prefecture) was held with Lithuanian photographer Arturas Valiauga.

Participants of the workshop were taking pictures of earth art, discussed particularities of photographing sculpture objects and the mean of photography in everyday life.

Pinhole workshop was held in Mito City (Ibaraki prefecture) on the 6-7th of November, 2009.

After theoretical part of the workshop, schollchildren and students were making pinhole cameras from bento (Japanese lunch boxe) boxes and were preparing dark room their-selves in the afternoon.
Second day was for taking pictures of the city and making hand made photographs in the dark room with the help of the team.

In the evening, Lithuanian potatoes cakes and fried bread with cheese were baked.
