In this photography exhibition artists from Ostkreuz agency turn one’s attention to different views of reality of Germany.

In 1990 agency Ostkreuz was established by seven famous East Germany photographers. As time was passing by its rank was added to artists from both East and West Germany. With 17 members this is one of the best known and granted art institutions nowadays.

Each of the artists has chosen a subject to their interest that would reflect their personal experience.

Altogether the created pictures bring nowadays German people mentality and state of mind.

8 characteristic positions to contemporary Germany are being presented in the exhibition. However, this is not images to represent Germany. Altogether the created pictures bring nowadays German people mentality and state of mind.

Miscellaneous photographs in this exhibition not only illustrate the theme, but utter specific opinions of the artists’ agency Ostkreuz. They convey authentic and expressive points of view about today’s Germany political situation, also individual life stages and ranges of German people. Even though German photographers‘ works that speak about German culture and history are very divers, it is possible to recognize all unifying motive of homeland.
